Hillsborough County is the fourth largest county in the state, and while most people think of Tampa when they think of Hillsborough County, there’s so much more to the area. Whether you’re looking for a bustling urban center or a quiet suburban community, there’s a city in that will suit your needs.
 

Tampa

Tampa is the largest city in Hillsborough County and the third-largest city in Florida. It’s a vibrant urban center that offers a wide range of entertainment, cultural and educational opportunities. It’s home to the University of South Florida, a D1 school offering a wide range of studies and sports, and the historic University of Tampa, a private college in the heart of downtown. Tampa is also home to several professional sports teams, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Tampa Bay Rays are housed just over the bridge in St. Petersburg. The city’s riverwalk has received national attention, and events like Gasparilla bring in people from all over.
 

Plant City

Plant City is a historic city located in the eastern part of Hillsborough County. Known as the Winter Strawberry Capital of the World, Plant City is famous for its delicious strawberries and strawberry festival. The city has a small-town feel and is perfect for those who want to live in a tight-knit community. It’s family-oriented, offering a variety of parks and educational opportunities and is one of the more affordable cities in the county. It’s known for its picturesque waterfront views and has a strong agricultural heritage. The town is perfect for those who want to live a quieter, more laid-back lifestyle.
